It took the Nigerian government 51 years to formally honour Taiwo Akinkunmi, the man who designed the Nigerian flag.
In 2023, Mr Taiwo Akinkunmi, the man who designed the Nigerian flag passed away. However, as of today, he has still not been buried as his family awaits a state burial promised to them by the government.
